- Leaks -
If you notice leaks or puddles surrounding your water heater, you need to deal with that immediately. A slight crack or fracture can turn into a serious problem if left unchecked.
- The water heater is eight years old or older -
If you water heater is over 8 to 10 years old it may be time to look at replacing your unit. If you are unsure of when your water heater was manufactured, check for the manufacturers sticker on the unit itself.
- Strange Noises -
If you notice that your water heater is making odd noises, it could be sediment build up on the bottom of the tank. As a result, your water heater will make banging or rumbling noises inside of the water tank.
